This is a great practice handwriting workbook. My daughter is delighted by the beauty on every page. Each letter of the alphabet has its own in color gorgeous flower, beautiful butterfly, and fancy letter. There is a coloring sheet to accompany each letter, many with scripture on them.

If your daughters are first learning cursive, you might need to give more instructions on how to make each letter then in this book. But once they have the basic understanding of how to create the letter properly this will give the great practices on creating them accurately. The girl who is just learning cursive and the one that just needs to work on her penmanship skills will find this book helpful and enjoyable, as well as any child who likes flowers or butterflies. This would be a absolutely great copy work for a flower unit study.

In the back of the book are extra copy sheets, notebooking pages and a word find. Every page also had a scramble game. The only improvement that I could suggest is the answers to the unscramble games. I went to http://www.zachwordunscrambler.com for help.

Ladies, you know that Hollywood does not often put out a movie that is worth watching. And when they do it is twisted to the point that it is junk. Or it is made for children only.

Well, today I just watched a movie that is worth the time It is called The Ultimate Gift. There is a book out by the same title and so I would recommend reading it too. Although at this moment,  I have not yet read it.

The movie will make you cry, laugh, see the worst in people and truly see the greatest point of living and cry again.

Sadly there is little mention of God and that is from a lost man talking with a little girl. It is not negative towards God but NOT a salvation story. 

So if you are up for a secular movie with an uplifting message that will make you cry . . . rent, barrow or buy The Ultimate Gift.

Ok you all.  Thanks to a local friend we got something moving at our local Walmart.

She called the local store, they didn’t want to do much but then she called 1-800-Wal-Mart.  Well, she got a call back and they are removing that display from the front door!

PRAISE GOD!

Between her call and the call back I too called.  They said they will have someone contact me this week.

So if you want to remove these displays call!  They are responding to us!

Ok I know it is only October 1st. But this is too great. Read it and remember it at Christmas time.

Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, now Darden, now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen,
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!

At the top of the Senate there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith,
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded,
The Reason for the Season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate “winter break” under your “dream tree,”

I walk into a local store, a ”family friendly store”.  AND what do I have to deal with?  My daughter grabbed my waist and wont let go of me.  She is 7 years old . . . She NEVER grabs me like that!  Upon entering a “man” takes his head off . . . Ok it is a machine that does this but it looked like to her a man taking off his head!

A woman in NH baked cookies on the dashboard of her car! She went into work and came out to freshed baked cookies.

It’s not just an expression, it’s literal! The lady used her dashboard as an oven and she’s done it twice!

Sandi Fontaine had to bake cookies for her co-workers and her husband needed her for errands. What did she choose? She didn’t have to. Both were done at the same time with the same equipment, er… tool? vehicle? Well, her car.

Fontaine first tested her dashboard oven three years ago. She said anyone can do it; the only requirement is for the outside temperature to be at least 95 degrees, so it will rise to about 200 degrees in the car. Temperatures in the area reached the mid to upper 90s on Wednesday.

Hot! Hot innovative idea too!

Homeschoolers unit! What can we cook our cookies in? What else can we cook in our cars. We can be in nice air conditioned homes and our cars can be cooking. OR we can be at the ball park and have meals for our families.

I am going to try cooking them in my car. Here in Alabama my truck can cook them I am sure. She said she needs 95+ heat…we get that most every day here. I hate to cook and heat up the house in the summer so my children think cookies are only winter time treats.
